Yorkshire Association of Business Angels (YABA) is a membership organisation of private equity investors who seek opportunities to invest in new and existing businesses within the Yorkshire region. Since its inception in 1995 and with support from Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency, since 2000, the YABA membership has grown steadily to over 170 Angel and Associate members.

Benefits and fees

• An invitation to attend each of the bi-monthly investment forums at hotels and hosts offices in the Yorkshire and Humber regions free of charge
• Meet entrepreneurs who are seeking finance and business advice & support
• An entry on the Online Associate Member's Directory which includes a direct link to your company website, full contact information, photograph of individual contact, company logo and a .pdf of the services offered by your company
• Meet and network with fellow Associate members and Angel members of YABA
• Review letter after each investment forum giving contact information of the presenting companies - particularly valuable if you or a colleague were unable to attend
• Promote your company and services to a network of business people by hosting or sponsoring an investment forum
• Introduce colleagues, clients or associates as guests at the investment forums
• Support a non-profit-making organisation which helps to fill the equity gap by providing finance for start-up and early growth companies in the region
• Feature your profile in an edition of YABA's quarterly newsletters distributed to over 3000 contacts on our database and at the various events which YABA holds
• Consider delivering one of YABA's business angel Master classes aimed at education both current and prospective investors on the deal making process
