Business Angel Co Investment Fund

The Business Angel Co Investment Fund has been made possible because of a successful bid to the UK Government's Regional Growth Fund. The Fund will make £50m available to invest alongside Business Angel networks or syndicates into eligible SMEs.
Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) Tax Relief

From 01 April 2012 the rate of Income Tax relief given to investors in SEIS companies is 50% for both the 40% and 50% UK tax payers.

The Yorkshire Association of Business Angels (YABA) is to increase its activities in the region after agreeing a new three year contract and recruiting three 'ambassadors'. The deal with Yorkshire Forward will enable an expansion of the services YABA offers to entrepreneurs and its business angel and associate membership. YABA helps to put entrepreneurs and companies seeking finance in touch with private investors, known as business angels, looking to invest in start-up, growth stage and turnaround opportunities.
